GNET invites you to attend our latest webinar, Extremism and Technology: Emerging Trends from the Global South. The webinar will explore how extremist groups and movements are exploiting technologies in the Global South, particularly in the Brazilian and Pakistani contexts.
This webinar will take the form of presentations by the panellists followed by an interactive roundtable discussion between presenters and attendees – participation is encouraged!
Featured Panellists:
Ricardo Cabral Penteado is a Ph.D. candidate in Computational Linguistics at the University of São Paulo (USP). He specialises in deep learning and natural language processing (NLP), focusing on the intersection of violent extremism and technology within the Brazilian and Latin American context.
Mariam Shah is an independent researcher and a PhD scholar in Peace and Conflict Studies.
