The Global Network on Extremism and Technology (GNET), in collaboration with the International Centre for Counter-Terrorism, invites you to attend an online report launch for Anne Craanen, Charley Gleeson, and Anna A. Meier’s new GNET Report: Transmisogyny, Colonialism and Online Anti‑Trans Activism Following Violent Extremist Attacks in the US and EU.

The event will comprise a 30-minute presentation of the report findings, followed by a 30-minute moderated Q&A.

This report investigates the rise of online anti-trans activism following two prominent attacks involving LGBTQ+ communities, namely the October 2022 attack on a gay bar in Bratislava, Slovakia, and the March 2023 shooting at a school in Nashville, Tennessee perpetrated by a trans man.
